J.Y. Park tweets a touching congratulatory message to Sun

JYP Entertainment founder and singer J.Y. Park congratulated Wonder Girls’ Sun on her wedding.

He tweeted on January 26th, “12 years ago I met a 5th grade girl who was pretty and smart.  For the past 12 years I have trained and taught her, but now, seeing her, it seems that I have learned so much more from her then I ever taught her.  Congratulations Sun.”

12 years ago J.Y. Park took part in a project to find talented children and there he found Sun and with much training she debuted as a member of the Wonder Girls’  Because they have spent so much time together his message was even more heartfelt.

Sun married James Park on this day in Seoul.  J.Y. Park sang the congratulatory song for the couple.

Netizens who saw the tweet commented, “Sun, congratulations on your wedding“, “He must feel like a father marrying off his daughter“, and “I want to get married too.”

J.Y. Park’s ‘Bad Jazz Bar’ attracts 4,000 fans on the first day

The opening show of J.Y. Park‘s ‘Bad Jazz Bar‘ tour brought in 4,000 fans.

The first show was held on the 15th, and brought audience members from all over the world to Daejeon. The concert boasts of a full live band that provides the highest-quality sound, and imitates a luxurious jazz bar. J.Y. Park made himself into the best condition for the tour. The 4,000 fans in attendance cheered passionately when he first appeared.

All of J.Y. Park’s songs were edited into jazz songs.  He performed together with a 14-member brass band and chorus. However, the highlight of his show was his 19+ performances. At one point in the concert, he invited a female fan to the stage and onto a sofa bed, where he proceeded to perform shirtless for her.

J.Y. Park also performed “She Doesn’t Know” for the first time, a song that had never been released before. He performed a Christmas carol as an encore song towards the end of the concert. He even put himself back on stage for a second time because of the unending encore calls.

J.Y. Park said, “I’m very happy to spend the end of the year with the people I always want to be with. I’m happy to see them in my best condition. Thank you for your love.”

Sun introduced her fiancé to J.Y Park before making the marriage announcement

It has been revealed that Sun had introduced her fiance to the JYP Entertainment employees before making the marriage announcement.

On representative from JYP Entertainment stated, “Before her announcement, Sun introduced her fiance to the JYP Entertainment family such as J.Y. Park and CEO Jeong Wook.” Sun had been a JYP Entertainment trainee since she was in elementary school, so she had a family like relationship with many of the employees. The representative added, “Sun is a very thoughtful person and she loves her JYP family. JYP Entertainment also put Sun’s happiness first, so she made her announcement in a really good and positive mood.”

CEO Jeong Wook also added, “I’ve met Sun’s fiancee. Sun introduced us. He was someone sincere and a type of person you can trust. There were people who seemed to worry that Sun’s marriage would affect our company but Sun’s happiness comes before anything else.“

On the November 14th broadcast of MBC Every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, miss A revealed the hilarious story behind J.Y. Park‘s infamous “half air, half sound” technique.

Fei started things off by sharing, “J.Y. Park PD is not the type to get angry very easily, but during recording [sessions], he often yells at us to breathe.”

Min then went on to hilariously demonstrate how they follow his “half air, half sound” technique, and the other members responded in agreement, “This is how we really do it.” ‘Weekly Idol’ hosts Jung Hyung Don and Defconn also tried out J.Y. Park’s themselves, bringing laughter to the set.

HaHa flares up at J.Y. Park on ‘Running Man’

HaHa flared up at Suzy and J.Y. Park on the latest episode of ‘Running Man‘.

The cast was given the mission to travel around various locations in the city of Gwangju, playing games and collecting hints for the final mission.

At one of the locations, in order to earn the right to eat, the cast would have to answer correctly a series of yes/no questions. In response to multiple wrong answers from the cast, the difficulty level was lowered with the easy question, “‘Know thyself’ is a famous quote from Shakespeare”. This was an incorrect statement; ’know thyself’, in fact, dates from the time of the ancient Greeks.

Although the majority of the cast held up (correctly) ‘no’ as their answers, only Suzy held up the incorrect ‘yes’ sign, earning the ire of her fellow teammates.

Attempting to cover up for her mistake, fellow guest Ji Jin Hee said, “Her gag sense is superb”. HaHa would have none of it, however. Pointing at the screen, he yelled, “JYP hyung! Get her to study a little!”
